Creation and Destruction June 14, 2008

“That Highest Maha S’akti is transcendent of all the Gunas; but you and I are with Gunas. Know me as the S’akti, all of Sattva Guna who is widely known as Maha Laksmi. After this the Prajapati Brahma, full of Rajo Gunas, the creator of all the Lokas, will come into existence from your navel lotus and will create the three worlds. Then he will perform severe tapasya and acquire the excellent power to create, and will create the three worlds by his Rajo Guna. That highly intelligent Prajapati will create first, the five Maha bhutas (great elements), all endowed with Gunas and then create mind with sensory organs and the presiding deities of the senses, and thus with all the ingredients, fit for creation, will create all the worlds.

Therefore He is denominated by all as the Creator of Brahmanda. O highly fortunate one! You will be the Preserver of this Universe. When the Prajapati Brahma will be angry at the beginning of the creation on his four mind-born sons, Rudra Deva will appear.He will appear then from the centre of his eye brows. On being born this Rudra Deva will practise very severe tapasya and will get the Samhara S’akti, who is all of Tamo Guna and at the end of the Kalpa will destroy all this universe of five elements.” - Chapter XVI, Devi Bhagavatam

“But in no way Mother’s love is going to allow you to destroy your Guru Principle.  As I told you that the Guru Principle is a very sensitive thing and is destroyed if you yourself do not try to maintain it. First of all the destruction starts from the very source of our being.  I mean to say that our being is created by five elements, and the five elements have a capacity all the time to get destroyed.

Any one of these elements, if they are not looked after, gets destroyed.  That is the built in capacity of the elements or of the matter as you can say. So to maintain them is important. So people have an idea that once you become a Guru you need not maintain anything, it is maintained by itself.  It is not. Agreed that the Spirit definitely enhances the beauty and health of this element, but at the human level there is always a greater force trying to destroy it. So till we have completely become the Spirit there is a chance of this destruction working it out.” – Shri Mataji

 

I have seen the last dissolution of the whole Universe June 12, 2008

Buddhi - Intellect June 9, 2008

“So Shri Krishna, He used His intellect. He is all-powerful. Nothing can dominate Him. Even His intellect cannot dominate Him. He used His intellect. Difference between the two, you should see. You should be able to use your intellect and not to be dominated by your intellect. So He used His intellect by which He solved many problems. His whole diplomacy was to use His intellect and use it for the purpose of divine.

All the time the divine in Him was helping Him to use His intellect. So the difference is that we are slaves of our intellect. And He is the master of His intellect. Not only, everything - His conditioning He’s master, His emotions He’s master, His body he’s the master. He’s master of everything and when you master, it you see your intellect very clearly, “Oh, this is what it is suggesting, this is not.” This intellect can give you very so-called positive ideas that you are the lord of the whole world. This is supposed to be positive. Or the same intellect can give you ideas that you are nothing. This intellect plays on top of you. Now you are not to be guided by your intellect but by your wisdom, as you are Sahaja Yogis.

So you have a very good instrument of feeling it. Through your vibrations you can make out what is good and what is bad. And you can see sometimes, as being human beings, there are some intellectual effects also coming in, but with Sahaja Yoga you can judge what is this intellect telling you. Because the intellect that you have has come out of what, is the main thing, should go to the subtle point, “How this intellect has come to us?” This intellect has come to us because our brain became active very soon. I have seen some children, extremely intelligent but they have no wisdom. If your only the brain develops too much - could be the mother is a very intelligent woman and father must be very intelligent, inheritance would be great, so they get it. Or maybe the circumstances, like if you are born in a particular country you suddenly become very intelligent.”- Shri Mataji

Atma (Spirit) June 7, 2008

“Atma is the reflection of Paramatma in our heart. This reflection is like the sun in water. Although reflection of the sun is in the water, he is away in the sky and not in the water. Similarly, Atma is as much as it is seen, it is beyond all that and not limited by it.”

“The Atma (Spirit) resides inside this heart and after Sahaja Yoga its light spreads within us in seven layers.” - Shri Mataji

Prakriti, Matter, Mother-how to control the matter May 25, 2008

Is it possible to imagine the life without Matter?  She is around us taking care about us all the time as real Mother.

During out evolution we learned how to control and modify this matter. This is the difference between animals and human beings. We try all the time to have full control over the matter.

Lets see what is the origin of this Matter- The Devi Bhagavatam: The Ninth Book: Chapter 1

“…Who is this Prakriti? (Whether She is of the nature of Intelligence or of matter?) Why did She manifest Herself and then again why did She reveal Herself in these five forms? And what are Her characteristics?…

… 4-18. Narayana said :– “O Child! Who is there in this world that can describe fully the characteristics of Prakriti! However I will describe to you that much which I heard from my own father, Dharma. Hear. The prefix “Pra” in the word Prakriti means exalted, superior, excellent; and the affix “Kriti” denotes creation. So the Goddess, the Devi Who is the most excellent in the work of creation is known as the Devi Prakriti.”

In order to have more control over the Matter we need to develop in ourselves all her qualities.  Her main quality is to take care for everybody.

When we start taking care for other people and not only for ourselves, we can develop our control over the Matter.

In my next article we will learn more about other quality of the Matter, which is Maya or illusion.

Purification of Swadhistana chakra May 24, 2008

From couple of months my attention was to find relations between different asanas and chakras.

Couple of days ago I start my meditation with couple of minutes in Padmasana (Lotus Pose) and after I remain in  Siddhasana.

My personal feeling was very quick purification of Swadhistana chakra, specially the right side.

During this exercise, please use your vibratory awareness and discrimination.

Christians, Hindus, Muslims and all have to evolve to a higher state April 19, 2008

 

“That you have to be born again, that you have to be baptized, that  you have to become a Pir, that you have to become a Brahmin - all  these descriptions have come to us from all the great scriptures. It  is very easy to say that we don’t believe in God, we don’t believe in  any Incarnation, we don’t believe in Jesus, we don’t believe in any  religion, we don’t believe into anything; is very easy to say. Even  it is easy to say that we believe in them, we believe in God, we  believe in Christ, we believe in Krishna, Rama, all that. Both things are equally the same.

When you believe in God you believe in the darkness and ignorance,  and when you do not believe in Him also you are in ignorance. By  believing into you close your eyes, accept the faith and go along  with it. Of course it shows that you are conscious of some Power which is beyond. Such people have a great chance. But in the case if  you go to these extremes in this kind of faith then you start only  believing in Christ, only believing in Muhammad, only believing in  Krishna - I mean depending on where you are born. How human beings are so narrow-minded?

If you are born in England either you will be a Catholic, or a  Protestant, or maybe one of these witchcraft people. You believe into  anything because you are localized in a place; there has been some  identifications because your mother believed into something, because  your father believed into something, or you paid for it. And this  faith can become such a blinding effect on people that you develop  absurd types of groups which call themselves as Christians, Hindus,  Muslims - whatever you may say - and are extremely, extremely  exclusive, blind, and fanatic.

Today one of the problems of the times of the modern times is  fanaticism. Now this fanaticism has been growing. The more people try  to get out of this fanaticism, it grows more.”

TORSION FIELDS April 17, 2008

Torsion fields have been studied by several groups of Russian scientists for at least three decades and most of that time in secret. What are torsion fields? The torsion field and its emanations are subtle energy fields. They are separate and distinct from classical Electric, Magnetic, and Gravity fields. Generators for these fields can be shielded against electro-magnetic fields and the torsion field still manifests itself through such shielding. Torsion fields can be generated, detected, switched on and off (such as for communication purposes), and are a distinct type of energy field heretofore not included in today’s classical physics.

Torsion field can travel at velocities at least as high as 109 times the speed of light.

“Like Einstein has said that there’s an area beyond our human mind which is called as Torsion Area. And all the truths, absolute truths are known when you enter into that Torsion Area. This Torsion Area has different names. For example in Sanskrit it’s called as Paramchaitanya. In the Koran it’s called as Ruh. In every religion it has been described. “YOGA IS TO STILL THE PATTERNING OF CONSCIOUSNESS” April 15, 2008

I.2  Yogas- citta-vrtti-nirodhah

yogah = process of yoking; union

citta = consciousness

vrtti = patterning, turnings, movements

nirodhah = stilling, cessation, restriction

Yoga is to still the patterning of consciousness.

May be this is the most popular sentence from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. How many of us can really experience this state? Are we looking to achieve this state? Believe me, I had a chance to be there and it is beyond description.

I am not so satisfied from Sanskrit translation as well. Please find below some clarifications from Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi.

“’Chit’ is the attention, the ‘Consciousness’.  You are just now conscious and listening to me.  Every minute, you are conscious.  But every moment is becoming dead into the past.  Every moment is coming from the future to the present.  But you are conscious at this moment and are listening to me”.

“I do not know what is the word for ‘Vritti’ in English language.  It is not ‘aptitude’ but a person gets ‘prone’ to, or his Attention is dragged to – I do not know if there is a word in the English language for Vritti. Vritti means a temperament by which you are drawn to.  Whatever is your temperament, it acts like that. For example, if you see a man walking, say, blindly, he cannot see things. One person may get angry with that person. Another may have pity for that person. Third man may come forward to help him out. Is the vritti, is the temperament you have developed through your three Gunas. That is why this Attention becomes identified with you, and when you are identified with this, your vritti, your temperament then you are still in a misidentified area.”

“But for a Sahaja Yogi the most important thing is : ‘you must save your attention’. Is called as Chitta Nirodha. Nirodha : saving of your attention. ” Where is it going, It’s such a precious thing for me. Were is it running” ? Then how do you save your attention ? Is through concentration. Concentrate. Try to concentrate. Don’t allow your attention to wobble. Gradually you will develop concentration”.

I hope with these clarifications it will be easy for you to comprehend the message of Maharishi Patanjali.

Audience member from public lecture: What is the reason for having dreams?

Shri Mataji: The reason for dreams is that when you are sleeping your attention moves either to the supraconscious side or to the subconscious side, your attention starts moving. And then you start seeing things which are connected with your subconscious or your collective subconscious and all this thing. And you may go onto supraconscious side where you see your future and all this thing. But the reason why you get dreams actually is that the unconscious, which is within you, or you can say the Kundalini or your Atma is trying to guide you to the right path. And how does it guide you to the right path? Is through dreams. But these are misunderstood.

How do you understand these dreams because you are so confused? First you go deep into yourself and you touch the unconscious - sushupti stithi. But from there you come out. And then when you are coming out, you touch your subconscious or maybe supraconscious. So whatever anubhuti you had, or whatever experience you had, of the depths of the sushupti gets confused and you don’t know what you dreamt, and you don’t understand and you forget it. But those who are realized souls go to their sushupti and see exactly what they have to know.

Like many people in Bombay when I came, they didn’t know I was coming but they were at the airport because they got the dream. So at this sushupti level, at the deep level you get the communication with God if you know how to go in and come out fully aware. But if you get confused with supraconscious or subconscious areas or if you start, your chitta i (Attention) is not so clear-cut, then there can be a big confusion.
