Where to put our attention during meditation? February 26, 2011
Every incarnation is transformation of Niraakar in Sakaar. If during meditation we put our attention on particular incarnation we can achieve enlightenment.
Dhammapada :
21. Out Of The Forest
“Awake
And day and night they watch
And meditate upon their master.”
Bhagawat gita:
Prashaantaatmaa vigatabheer brahmachaarivrate sthitah;
Manah samyamya macchitto yukta aaseeta matparah.
6:14. Serene-minded, fearless, firm in the vow of a Brahmachari, having controlled the mind,
thinking of Me and balanced in mind, let him sit, having Me as his supreme goal.
Yunjannevam sadaa’tmaanam yogee niyatamaanasah;
Shaantim nirvaanaparamaam matsamsthaamadhigacchati.
6:15. Thus, always keeping the mind balanced, the Yogi, with the mind controlled, attains to
the peace abiding in Me, which culminates in liberation.
Yoginaamapi sarveshaam madgatenaantaraatmanaa;
Shraddhaavaan bhajate yo maam sa me yuktatamo matah.
6:47. And among all the Yogis, he who, full of faith and with his inner self merged in Me,
worships Me, he is deemed by Me to be the most devout.

“I AM WITH YOU.YOU KNOW THAT, BUT I NEED NOT BE IN THIS BODY BECAUSE I DON’T KNOW IF I EXIST IN THIS BODY OR NOT.YOU WILL SEE TREMENDOUS MIRACLES HAPPENING.
YOU MAY FIND ME ANYWHERE.YOU ARE WALKING ON THE STREET,SUDDENLY YOU MIGHT FIND “MATA…JI”WALKING WITH YOU.IF YOU SEE ME SITTING ON YOUR BED AND PUTTING MY HAND ON YOUR HEAD.
THAT HAS TO HAPPEN,SO YOU SHOULD BE PREPARED.”

Only You can do this job of giving Self Realisation January 12, 2011
This is a story from 1973-4. My mother was just recently introduced to Sahaja Yoga and to Shri Mataji. She was at the early stages of experiencing vibrations, experiencing within herself. At that time my parents were living in Ambanath, which is a suburb of Mumbai, and one day someone rang the doorbell and my mum opened the door, and there was a sadhu or sanyasi wearing saffron robes. He presented himself and said that his guru had sent him because he had heard that my mother was a disciple of Shri Adi Shakti. My mother was dumbfounded because she didn’t expect anyone to come and ring the doorbell and say that. So my mum gave him self realisation, took his contact details and reported this to Shri Mataji.
In fact after a few months Shri Mataji came to our home in Ambanath and wanted to meet this person. And here he was, with his guru, and Shri Mataji has told this story in many of Her speeches. This guru was one of the Naonath, that is one of the nine great masters who stay in the Himalayas. He was a disciple of this great master, and then Shri Mataji went to his ashram. We noticed that this man was very silent, very humble, and very respectful towards Shri Mataji, and this was because he had a total recognition of who Shri Mataji was. We had a whole night of bhajans and all the night he was just silent, watching Shri Mataji’s Lotus Feet very very respectfully, as if he was doing some kind of a puja within his heart.
At the end he opened up a little bit and said ‘Only You can do this job of giving Self Realisation.’ He said he had no hope for human beings and Shri Mataji asked why that was. He said that there were two of his disciples, who after many years of his training, of his meditation, were still smoking and still had a very bad agnya chakra. He didn’t know how to open it and could not forgive them. He said it was only a mother’s job to help them. So of course Shri Mataji promptly opened their agnya chakra and gave them Self Realisation.
These two disciples came running to Shri Mataji’s Feet and thanked Her, and said that their guru was very strict with them. In fact one of the disciples was hung upside down over a well because he was caught smoking. So this was a big memory which is very close to my heart, our first exposure of who Shri Mataji really was.

The Existence Power December 26, 2010
This power is the expression of the desiring mood of Shri Adi Shakti, the Tamoguna in Her aspect as Shri Mahakali. By this power Pranava is transformed as existence power, which is the expression of the desire of Shri Adi Shakti to create. Desire means it is born without any concrete form in the heart of Shri Adi Shakti. It can say that it has not yet come into the light of expression, which is why it is also known as the darkness mood (Tamoguna). Desire is the emotion of the Divine Love of Shri Adi Shakti which gives Her the feeling to create. This then is the emotional expression of the Shri Adi Shakti and called the Shri Mahakali Power. This is chronologically the first mood that comes into play.
The Shri Mahakali Channel (Adi Ida Nadi) originates from the right side of the Primordial Brain, crossing over the Adi Agnya Chakra, and passes very near the Primordial Heart up to the Adi Mooladhara Chakra that controls the pelvic plexus in human beings. One of its sub-plexuses governs sex in man. This channel represents the Primordial Collective Subconscious Mind of the Virata. Its Presiding Deity is Lord Shiva whose seat is in the left chamber of the Adi Anahat Chakra, and who controls the existence channel (Adi Ida Nadi). This Anahat Chakra controls the cardiac plexus in human beings. The fumes of the activity of this channel accumulate in the Brain of the Virata forming the Primordial Superego. All that dies on this earth is collected through the Primordial Superego into the Primordial Collective Subconscious Mind which lies on the left side of the Virata. All human beings, animals and experiences pass into this realm on death.
Lord Shiva has control over the heart organ and is connected with the witness aspect of Almighty God as Shri Sadashiva. He is fully aware of the intentions of the Supreme Spirit of God (Paramatma). In the Body of the Virata, the heart of the Primordial Being is a living parabola emitting in three and a half coils the waves of ‘I-witnessing’ (Ishwari) power. The creation remains in existence as long as this heart continues to pulsate with the presence of Almighty God. When God wants to terminate the play of creation, it is Lord Shiva’s role to destroy it by stopping the pulsating in the Primordial Heart. Shri Shiva can also destroy the creation by His furious dance (Tandava) which expresses His temper. By His anger He emits waves in an anticlockwise direction, and when this happens, the Body of the Virata dissolves.

Oh, that’s the easy part-when I see my image reflected in it December 9, 2010
There was a group of women in a Bible study on the book of Malachi. As they were studying chapter three they came across verse three which says, “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.” This verse puzzled the women and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.
One of the women offered to find out about the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible study. That week the woman called up a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn’t mention anything about the reason for her interest in silver beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver. As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that, in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest so as to burn away all the impurities.
The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot – then she thought again about the verse, that He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver. She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined. The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. For if the silver was left even a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.
The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, “How do you know when the silver is fully refined?” He smiled at her and answered, “Oh, that’s the easy part — when I see my image reflected in it.”
If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has His eye on you and will keep His hand on you and watch over you until He sees His image in you.
