Great selection of quotes. But then, at times I feel that whatever Eckhart says is worth quoting :-). Keep 'em coming Peter.

The Sufis too believe in living in the moment. They call themselves the 'people of the moment'. When one constantly lives in the moment, the cocept of linear time vanishes. This is because time is the creation of the human mind, which is incapable of living in the presest. If you can live in the moment, you can break free from the shackles of your mind.

AngllHugnU2,

Appreciate your comment.

Thinking is related with PAST and FUTURE.
When we are in the PRESENT we just watch.

So very often, we believe we are trapped in our own ways of thinking. At times, we make wishful attempts to break away from our way of doing things...BUT, nothing...literally nothing happens. Once again, we are stuck in that way of doing things that creates painful outcomes.

What's a person to do?

Well...what we will we do. What we wish we simply won't. Would we truly understand the very strong possibility of our will to accomplish great things we would choose to be more willing to be great, be good, be honest, be magnificent. Instead, we place inordinate amount of trust and confidence in the plans and behavior of a past that is filled with lies about how imperfect we are. Our willful goal then is to become one more statistic in the race to prove our inconsistency and weakness.

Our will is not just a matter of THINKING to become. Our will is our conscious choice to make a commitment to become great, good, honest, and magnificent--the stuff of which we presently embody. We represent the best and true expression of what real genuine love offers. We ARE one with all that is great. Choosing to learn how that is possible is a purposeful decision to grow more into what we are...and less of what simply is a lie.

Thanks for allowing me to join in on your conversation.
